Dîner En Blanc // Las Vegas

My friend Kelly  and I set out to partake and experience Dîner en Blanc Las Vegas. If you’ve never heard of this event here is a little info:

The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988 when Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at Bois de Boulogne, asking them to dress in white so they could find each other. Diner en Blanc was born and has grown over the years.

This is considered the ultimate chic picnic. You have to be invited and not everyone is so lucky. Everyone is dressed in all white with all white everything (picnic basket, table settings, and decorations) with a hint of gold or silver. The location is top secret until moments before its time for dinner. Our dinner was held at the new T-Mobile Arena here in Las Vegas.

You have to bring your own set up (chairs, tables, table setting, food, beverage, etc.). The Park/T-Mobile Arena treated us well, because the event space provided the tables and chairs. What kind of picnic is that? You pay to bring your own things? This is the picnic that you want to be at! We had an option to purchase a meal but we opted out of that and brought our own food. This was not a BYOB event so you had to purchase your wine from the vender prior to the event.

Dinner commenced with the customary twirling of the napkins. We had the pleasure of meeting new and old friends while dancing the night way. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a Dîner en Blanc it will be a night to remember with memories to last a life time.

Ya girl still got her hula-hoop skills even in 5 inch heels.

Our wonderful table set-up. We thought we had more room, but we didn’t so we worked it out.
